About the Dare to Lead™ Program

Based on the research of Dr Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is a courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organisational development professionals.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills through workshops, training, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organisations move from armoured leadership to daring leadership.

Individuals who successfully complete the full 24-hour Dare to Lead™ program will receive a certificate of completion and can put the Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.

Brave Leadership and Courage Cultures

Explore the core tenants of daring leadership
Identify your professional call to courage as a leader.
Be guided through the newly added five C’s of strategic thinking, decision making and delegation

Rumbling with Vulnerability

Lean into and stay with tough interactions that involve risk, uncertainty and emotional exposure while staying true to who we are.

Shame, Self-compassion and Empathy

Define shame and understand the concept of shame shields, including the shame shields you are most likely to use
Understand what self-compassion is and gain techniques to be more understanding of yourself and others
Recognise the components of empathy and identify the common empathic misses

Living into our Values

Walking our talk about what we hold most important, making sure our thoughts, intentions, words and actions align with our values.

BRAVING Trust

Understand how trust is built and its role in connection and psychological safety that holds teams and organisations together
Explore what makes you angry or shuts you down and gain an understanding of the connection with feelings such as shame, guilt and worry.

Learning to Rise

Learn the critical role curiosity and emotional literacy play in developing rising skills
Develop the skills to get back up after a fall so that we’re willing to risk falling again.
Understand how to re-write the stories and endings that no longer serve us.

Lead with Courage provide coaching support to participants throughout the workshop, in addition to hosting a three-hour Courageous Leadership Integration Virtual session further to embed new daring leadership skills, learnings and behaviours approximately three weeks after each program.

You will feel like Brené is in the room with you.

Together, we will guide you to develop these courage-building skills so you, your team, and your organisation can move away from armoured leadership and embrace daring leadership. Our role is to create a safe, inclusive, courageous space for you to journey into Daring Leadership.
